YAMM (Yet Another Mail Merge) User Guide on Google Apps
Yet Another Mail Merge (YAMM) is a tool that allows users to send mass emails via Gmail using data from Google Sheets. It can be used for marketing, sending news or notifications efficiently.
Steps to use YAMM
1. Preparing Google Sheets
Open Google Sheets and create a new file.
Enter the data of the email recipients into the columns, such as:
Column A: Email Address (the email address of the recipient)
Column B: First Name (first name)
Column C: Last Name (last name)
Verify the data correctly and make sure that each row has complete data.
2. Creating an email template in Gmail
Open Gmail and click Compose (compose an email).
Compose the email you want to send. You can use variables that connect to data in Google Sheets, such as {{First Name}} or {{Last Name}}.

Thank you for being a part of us! We look forward to working with you soon!

Click Save Draft
3. Installing and using YAMM
Go to Google Sheets with your email list
Go to Extensions > Add-ons > Get add-ons
Search for Yet Another Mail Merge and click Install
Once the installation is complete, go back to Google Sheets and go to Extensions > Yet Another Mail Merge > Start Mail Merge
Set up email sending:
Select the Gmail Draft you created
Set the Sender Name
Set other settings, such as the daily sending limit (e.g. 50 emails per hour for the free version)
Click Start Mail Merge
4. Tracking email sending
YAMM automatically adds status columns to Google Sheets, such as:
Sent
Opened
Clicked
You can view more email sending statistics at Extensions > Yet Another Mail Merge > Track Emails
Note
Personal Gmail accounts can send up to 500 emails per day, while Google Workspace accounts can send up to 2,000 emails per day
YAMM has a free version that limits you to sending 50 emails per day. If you want to send more than that, you need to subscribe to the premium version.
It’s a good idea to check your outgoing emails and statuses to make sure your emails are sending smoothly.
